Cabinet bed or wall bed?
Both are Murphy beds: a real bed that folds away by day. The difference is what holds it up.

It’s our pick because it asks nothing of your walls. It suits renters, and a drawer in the base holds the sheets and pillows.
We sell one queen cabinet bed in 11 finishes. Nine can be ordered online; for Timberline and New Traditions Black, call us. The bed and mattress are the same in every finish. The price follows the wood and the carving.

Will it fit? Measure it open
- Closed: 64″ wide, 26″ deep and 44″ high, about the footprint of a dresser.
- Open: plan on about 83″ out from the wall.
- Doorways: closed, it fits through a standard 32″ door.
Tape the open outline on your floor and keep a path to the door. Not sure? Send us a photo of the room and we’ll check the fit.
Delivery, setup and stairs
- Front-door delivery: free in Oregon within 20 miles of Portland on orders of $1,500 or more, so every finish qualifies. Farther out in Oregon, you pay mileage only. Washington delivery is $149 plus mileage.
- White glove: $279 for a cabinet bed. We bring it to the room, set it up and take the packaging. Saturday delivery is available with white glove.
- Stairs: tell us about stairs or tight turns when you order. Hard access can add a fee, and we confirm it before delivery.
- Timing: after you order, we call to set your delivery date.

Returns
Under our refund policy, custom orders, consignment and floor models are final sale. Ask us which terms apply to your bed before you order. If it arrives damaged or a defect shows up later, our claims team files with the manufacturer for you.
Questions we hear
Can I get a Murphy bed without mounting it to the wall?
Yes. A Murphy cabinet bed stands on its own. What’s New Furniture’s queen arrives assembled.
Can someone sleep on it every night?
Lie on our floor model first. It’s a real 6″ memory foam mattress, not a topper.
Can I use my own mattress?
Ask us first. It comes with its own queen mattress, which folds in three to fit inside the cabinet.
