Styling
The dark bands are the reason this size reads from across a living room. Put it on the floor next to a leather chair or at the end of a sofa and drop in a folded throw, a small stack of magazines, or kindling if it lives by the fireplace. The charcoal wants something equally grounded nearby (walnut, a dark rug, a brick wall) so the stripes feel considered instead of random.
