The small Rook basket is the one that fits where the other two will not: beside a lounge chair, in an entry, under a console. Coiled banana leaf and raffia in mixed tan and medium brown, with two loop handles and no dark stripe columns. It holds magazines, kindling, or a folded throw without asking for a whole corner. Styling
Use it on the floor next to a lounge chair in the living room, or just inside the door for mail, scarves, and a pair of slippers. It is also the right scale for a bedroom nightstand wall or a bathroom that can take a natural fiber (dry towels only). The mixed coils want warm wood and a vintage rug nearby so the basket looks collected. Group it with the large and the dark-striped medium Rook for a stepped trio, or keep it alone on a small wall. More in home accents.
Because the fiber is natural, tone and coil thickness shift a little from piece to piece. That variation is the point. Pair it with one confident accent (terracotta, sage, or rust) and it recedes into the room instead of reading as a leftover from a set.
Care
- Dust with a dry, lint-free cloth
- Indoor use only. Keep out of sustained rain and sprinklers
- Natural fiber tone varies from piece to piece
- Do not overload past the rim, and do not store wet towels in it
- If a coil snags, ease it back into place rather than pulling
