Frequently Asked Questions
How do I care for a leather sofa?
Wipe with a damp cloth weekly and condition with leather conditioner every 3–6 months. Keep out of direct sunlight to prevent drying. Top-grain and full-grain leather are the most durable and easiest to maintain.
Is leather furniture good with pets?
Yes. Leather is a popular material for pet owners. Hair doesn't embed in the surface, and minor scratches often blend into the patina over time. Choose thicker hides for maximum durability.
What's the difference between leather and faux leather sofas?
Real leather is generally more durable, develops character with age, and feels warmer to the touch. Faux leather is more affordable, vegan-friendly, and easier to replace. Both are easy to clean.
Can I custom order a leather sofa in Portland?
Yes. Our custom sofa program with Stanton and Stylus lets you choose your hide, color, sofa size, and arm style for a fully personalized piece. Custom orders follow the maker's build time, typically 4 to 14 weeks.
